Dr. K. Rangarajan, Professor& Centre Head (Kolkata Campus) has been appointed Non-Official Director on the Board of State Trading Corporation of India Limited.

Arjun Mishra, a student of EPGDF 201618, is one of the Runner's up in the prestigious award of The Queen's Young Leaders programme in the UK. Each year her Majesty the Queen of England chooses individuals who are doing extraordinary work for the upliftment of the undeserved across the Commonwealth Nations. Thousands of people across the Commonwealth apply for this coveted award. He has been chosen as a Winner of this award from India and have been awarded the runners up position . His project was chosen as among the top 10 projects from India.

Pawan Chawla of EPGDIBS 2015-16 has won CIO & LEADER "BUSINESS IMPACT AWARD 2015, an award which honor's technology leaders who have demonstrated exceptional initiative, pioneered innovative solution deployments, and implemented best practices that have resulted in significant and quantifiable business impact for their organizations.

 Award also aim to recognize innovative and path-breaking practices, transformative projects, and implementation efforts that have helped save costs, enable new revenue streams, improve customer service or employee satisfaction, enhance efficiency or productivity, or deliver other business benefits.

Pawan Chawla, a technology greek has also won Cyber Security Strategist Of The Year Award 2014 and Best Cyber Security Implementer of The Year Award 2014, from CSO Forum in the year 2014.

Recently was in news for taking up a role in India's leading car portal CarDekho.com as Head of Information Technology.
 
 

 

       

 

 

Dr. Saswati Tripathi
Dr. Saswati Tripathi, Associate Professor, successfully completed the SCOR-P  Professional Endorsement Exam of APICS which is one of the prestigious and a tough International Certification for Supply Chain Professionals.  SCOR certification is based on real-world techniques for measuring and managing a global supply chain, not on concepts or abstractions. Rahul Kumawat (EPGDIM 2014-16)
Rahul Kumawat of EPGDIM 2014-16 pedalled over 3,000 km from Chennai to Delhi to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and about a rare genetic disorder known as Hunter’s Syndrome. And the idea for it took root when a professional cyclist he met told Kumawat about RAAM (Race Across America), a non-stop bicycle expedition covering 5,000 km in 12 days with a cumulative elevation equivalent to six Mount Everests.

Rahul Kumawat, a cycling enthusiast from Rajasthan has come up with RIBS (Ride Inside Bharatiya States) to champion cycling as a hobby as well as to pioneer certain common causes. Rahul currently works as a diagnostic designer at Renault Nissan India in Chennai and has undertaken on a cycling journey from Chennai to New Delhi to champion the cause of blood donation, palliative care for cancer patients and a rare condition called the Hunter syndrome.

Red Devils (Amit Kumar, Avishek Chakladar, Kumar Atul, Siddhartha Mehra) from IIFT (Kolkata), 2014-16 winner Brainstorm 2014 - Nokia Networks and Wipro R&D-IT Challenge.

Idea Title : Real Time Big data analysis for Tailor made mobile plans

The competition saw 200 + teams participating from various B schools and Engineering institutes all over the country. 20 teams were shortlisted for the second round of which Top 3 qualified for the final round in Bangalore.

Anmol Garg, MBA 2014-16 (KOL), emerged as winner in Phalanx- Last Man Standing at Imperium, MDI Gurgaon.

Dr. Neena Priyanka of EPGDIB 2013-15 has been selected as Distinguished Engineer in the Technical Ladder Program, which is one of the most prestigious titles given by her company, Pitney Bowes Software.

He is from MBA IB 2012-14 (Kolkata) batch, won the Gold Medalist for Best Students of MBA(IB) 2012-14.

He is from MBA IB 2011-13 (Kolkata) batch, won the Gold Medalist for Best Students of MBA(IB) 2011-13 and All-round Proficiency award.

 

Moumita Dey
Library Assistant, Kolkata, got gold medal from University of Calcutta for her Master degree in Library & Information Science. Wishing her and hoping that she will continue to bring more such laurels to IIFT.

 

Shailesh Nirala
He is from MBA IB 2012-14 batch and one of seven B-school students - out of 450 contenders from across the country - who won Rs 1.5 lakh in the Godrej LOUD contest. In his winning presentation, had expressed desire to set up an information centre in Dhuska to help villagers browse through newspapers, magazines, employment websites and access information about agricultural practices.

 

Ms. Apurva Joshi
She is from MBA IB 2011-13 batch. She became a National Finalist in Campaign for a Cause, IIM-A, Final Cut-MICA and Second Position in Nutcracker Marketing, IIT, Delhi. Wishing her and hoping that she will continue to bring more such laurels to IIFT.

He is from MBA IB 2011-13 batch. He has recently won "The best summer project contest" in Finance at Nitie-Mumbai .Wishing him and hoping that he will continue to bring more such laurels to IIFT.

She is from MBA IB 2011-13 batch. She won first prize in National Paper Writing Competition-" Future Drivers of IT" , ENVISION 2011 in XIMB. She was also the finalist in National White Paper Presentation Competition on "Supply Chain Management in Hospital Industry" organised by IIM, Lucknow. She, a Gold Medalist (IPU), is from MBA IB 2011-13 batch. She became a National Finalist in Chakravyuh- Public Policy Making Event, IIM-A, Project-o-Phile, Operations Strategy Event, IIM-B and Nut Cracker, Operations Case Event, IIM-B.
